History of the Organization

The International Training Centre (ITC) was established by the Hungarian Ministry of Interior in 1999 with the primary objective of fulfilling the obligations set forth in agreements with international law enforcement training organizations. In line with conventions and legal commitments, the ITC is tasked with organizing and delivering training programs, based on both bilateral and multilateral cooperation frameworks.

The ITC, both independently and in collaboration with international partners, offers specialized training opportunities to Hungarian and foreign law enforcement personnel. These programs are designed to address the current challenges in public safety and law enforcement, providing participants with valuable insights into contemporary issues and the corresponding responses from the law enforcement sector. In addition, these training sessions facilitate the exchange of best practices and contribute to fostering long-term international law enforcement networks.

Key international partners involved in the organization of law enforcement training include:

Depending on the subject matter and professional content, the ITC offers a wide range of training programs, varying in duration from one day to seven weeks. The working languages of these programs include Hungarian, English, and German. All courses are delivered with the highest standards of quality, facilitated by highly qualified Hungarian and international experts, under optimal training conditions.

In addition to organizing international law enforcement training, the ITC is also involved in providing language courses and hosting law enforcement-related events. It serves as a venue for conferences and actively conducts research in areas related to law enforcement training and public safety.

Together with other law enforcement organizations, the ITC plans and organizes training courses both in Hungary and abroad. These training initiatives are executed either independently or within bilateral and multilateral frameworks, tailored to meet the specific needs and demands of partner organizations and target groups.
