About us
Training Department
The Training Department operates as a structural unit under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director of the International Training Centre (ITC). Its core responsibility lies in the planning, organization, and execution of both international and domestic training programs as well as professional conferences.
The department's activities are fundamentally guided by the mission of the ITC, which aims to develop and implement training programs that meet new and continuously evolving challenges, in line with the needs of law enforcement and criminal justice sectors.
The Department primarily fosters cooperation based on indications and collaboration with professional units of independent law enforcement bodies. In this framework, it coordinates needs assessments, discusses implementation and funding options, provides organizational and management support for training activities, and maintains continuous communication with professional partners throughout the training programs. To a lesser extent, it also cooperates with domestic and international law enforcement training institutions.
Additionally, the department monitors various grant opportunities, ensures the preparation of the professional content for ITC’s grant applications, and manages administrative and training-related activities throughout the project periods.
The reception and preparation of visits by foreign delegations arriving at the ITC are also among the Department’s responsibilities. It actively participates in assembling and coordinating the delegations’ programs.
In 2024, under the Internal Security Fund Plus (ISF+) calls for proposals within the European Union’s 2021–2027 multiannual financial framework, both of the ITC’s applications — aimed at promoting international and domestic law enforcement cooperation — received positive evaluations.
Within the framework of the two approved projects, titled
-
"Competence Development for Effective Action Against Cross-Border Crime", and
-
"Professional Training and Expert Knowledge Expansion in Criminal Data Exchange",
the Training Department is set to organize and carry out approximately 70 training sessions and professional events per year, continuing through to December 31, 2027. These trainings are implemented with a strong commitment to the highest professional standards.
